Position Summary Indiana University School of Nursing (IUSON) is pleased to announce the search for the Executive Associate Dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (EAD DEI). The EAD DEI is the chief officer for diversity, equity, and inclusion for the IUSON, which includes campuses located at Indiana University- Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), Indiana University Bloomington (IUB), and Indiana University School of Nursing Fort Wayne campus (IUSON-FW). The EAD DEI provides leadership to promote diversity, strategically plan for and oversee diversity, inclusion, and enhancement opportunities, and to assure cultural competence for our faculty, staff and student body. The successful candidate will develop partnerships and build a plan to ensure that DEI activities align with the IUSON’s strategic plan. The EAD DEI reports to the Dean, is a member of the Executive Team of the school and participates in faculty governance as elected or appointed.
Basic Qualifications Qualified applicants must hold an earned doctorate in nursing or a doctorate in a related field with a graduate degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing, as well as academic administrative experience. Teaching experience in higher education at graduate and undergraduate levels with a record of scholarly achievement and be licensed or eligible for Indiana RN licensure is required. Demonstrated excellence in leadership and interpersonal skills is also required. The successful applicant will have a record of scholarship, including a history of success in obtaining external grants, suitable for a senior tenure-track position and appointment as a tenured associate or full professor. Experience in leading diversity, equity, and including efforts is preferred.
