About the opportunity

An exciting opportunity to be an Executive Assistant to the Business Faculty General Manager. This role provides high level executive and administrative support to the Faculty General Manager and the Professional Staff leadership team, ensuring the specific needs and day to day requirements of the office are managed in highly efficient and effective manner.

The Executive Assistant will be responsible for managing the schedule and communications of the general manager; prioritizing emails, phone calls and arranging meetings.  As the first point of contact representing the Faculty General Manager, this role requires extensive administrative and organisational skills in order to manage a high volume of activity as well as client service skills, tact and diplomacy. Key to the success of the incumbent is their ability to manage and prioritise matters bought to the Faculty General Manager. Provides additional support as required to the broader Deans Executive Committee members.

The Executive Assistant to Faculty General Manager will exercise their experience in administrative practises and knowledge of the Faculty and University issues to determine priorities related to the key accountabilities within the scope of the role. They will identify and discuss matters requiring the attention of the Faculty General Manager in a timely manner ensuring that all matters are dealt with effectively and efficiently. As an experienced professional, the incumbent will source sound recommendations and apply professional know-how to achieve their work goals.

Your key responsibilities will be

  • managing the schedule and communications of the Faculty General Manager

  • providing a broad, high level professional executive and administrative support to the Faculty General Manager

  • prioritizing emails, phone calls and arranging meetings

You will have

  • excellent time and workload management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and achieve required outcomes

  • excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in handling a wide range of enquiries and providing excellent customer service

  • extensive administrative and organisational skills in order to manage a high volume of activity as well as client service skills, tact and diplomacy
