About the Role
The Executive Assistant provides a broad range of administrative, secretarial and executive support across the two main portfolios of the Faculty Executive Director (FED) and Associate Dean (Teaching and Learning) (AD T&L), ensuring a smooth workflow of the office(s) enabling the incumbent to function effectively across a wide range of commitments.
As part of the Office of the Dean’s broader administrative team and reporting to the Executive Director, the Executive Assistant will undertake a broad range of activities across the principal portfolios as well as supporting identified Faculty and University led activities.
Working closely with staff across the Faculty, the Executive Assistant will develop a thorough understanding of the Faculty’s policies and procedures to enable seamless administrative support.
About You
You are a resourceful and flexible person by nature, able to preempt needs before the arise to ensure a high level of support is provided. Your excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills make you adept at preparing briefing notes, answering correspondence, preparing agendas and minutes, and assisting with the drafting of various documents. You are highly organised, able to prioritise and juggle competing tasks to ensure all are completed with a strong degree of accuracy and within set deadlines. You will have a high degree of proficiency in computer skills, particularly in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of applications. Experience organising events is desirable, though not essential.
