We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly organised individual to work with Professor Rafael Pinedo Villanueva’s team within the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences (NDORMS) based at the Botnar Research Centre, Oxford. This post combines support as Executive Assistant for Prof Rafael Pinedo Villanueva with a role as Project Manager for various projects examining the health economics and outcomes research of musculoskeletal conditions. The Project Manager will be an essential part of the team, working on exciting projects which will offer room for contributing to their development. The successful candidate will have strong project management skills and a commitment to improving health in the UK and abroad.
As an Executive Assistant/Project Manager you will need office management and executive assistant skills with responsibility for the effective day-to-day organisation of Prof Pinedo Villanueva’s academic work including his diary, email communication, correspondence, grant applications, research projects, student supervision, financial administration, publications, and travel. You will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and management of the FLS Benefit and Budget Impact Calculator project, ensuring programme deliverables are met, and monitoring and adapting project plans and activities as necessary, working closely with project partners.
You must have a university degree or equivalent experience, and of project management including managing a budget, report writing and accounts presentation. Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong self-motivation, flexibility and reliability, with the demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and as part of a small team. A degree in development studies, international relations, public health or related subjects and an understanding of university administrative structures and processes would be desirable.
This is a fixed-term, part time position (30%FTE – 50%FTE) for 6 months.
