Job Description
The Executive Assistant I will report directly to the CEO/CFO/CAO of OSU Health Plan. Primary responsibility will be to compose /draft letters, note cards and/or reports; tracks action items to assure follow up and follow through; coordinate complex and detailed calendars; arrange meetings, reservations, travel; assess issues directed to the CEO/CFOa??s office and determine course of action and delegate to appropriate person for resolution; conceptualize, plan and direct activities to office management involving CEO/CFO directives; serve as liaison to executive sponsors, university officials, community leaders, and OSUHP Board of Directors (when it is in session), attends executive level and Board meetings; takes minutes, determines discussion items and prepares agendas. Serves as administrative support and liaison to the Director of Operations. Manages facility and human resources operations. Handles special projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Six months experience (600 hours training) using computers to generate a variety of materials ranging from basic to complex; 6 mos. experience (600 hrs course work) in office practices and procedures; 6 months experience (600 hours course work) in customer service. Some positions require one year related medical secretarial experience or completion of an associate’s degree program with three courses in medical terminology plus 3 mos. experience (300 hours training) in use of word processing equipment, consistent with position description. Some positions require 6 mos. experience (600 hrs course work) in supervision consistent with position description.
Preferred:
Associates degree or higher; 5 years of experience working in an office. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization including OSU Health Plan, OSUWMC and Office of Human Resources. Ability to work independently on assigned projects; knowledge of computer spreadsheets desired.
