Executive Assistant and Project Administrator – Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI)

Full-time, fixed-term for 12 months (with the possibility of extension depending on the availability of funding). 

The Oxford Department of International Development (ODID) is looking to recruit an Executive Assistant and Project Administrator. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the work of the Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI). The postholder will provide prompt, professional and proactive executive support to the Director of OPHI, Dr Sabina Alkire, and project management of select projects with which she is involved.

The postholder will deliver a high level of direct support for the Director, proactively dealing with a wide range of matters, sometimes time sensitive, while demonstrating initiative and sound judgement. They will carry responsibility for the effective day-to-day organisation of the Director’s business including managing her complex diary (across multiple time zones) and making or overseeing international travel arrangements including visa applications.

The successful candidate will have excellent and highly developed communication skills and experience of providing professional executive support at a senior level including making complex international travel arrangements. The ability to proactively manage and prioritise a varied and busy workload and work to deadlines is also essential.
