The Office of Admissions (OA) supports the university’s quest in recruiting quality students to pursue their undergraduate and/or graduate education.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing of part-time undergraduate applications, which includes verifying of documents, preparing and releasing of outcome to applicants, as well as handling of appeals.
  • Update the subsidy status of part-time students based on the criteria set by MOE.
  • Prepare and provide the necessary statistics for part-time undergraduate applications and intake after each application window period and admissions cycle.
  • Ensure that all applicant records are checked and properly maintained in the relevant systems at all times.
  • Provide prompt and accurate responses to email and phone enquiries as well as queries through Microsoft Dynamics from prospective students.
  • Provide support to outreach events organised by the university or the feeder institutions.
  • Ensure that all information pertaining to part-time undergraduate admissions on NTU website e.g. freshmen useful information and checklist, tuition fees payable for part-time undergraduate programmes are up to date.
  • Coordinate the annual diploma accreditation and evaluation exercise. Ensure that all necessary documents for evaluation are submitted by the relevant diploma-awarding institutes and properly evaluated by NTU’s schools and colleges.
  • Assist in any other ad hoc duties assigned by the management.

Requirements:

  • A Polytechnic Diploma
  • Administrative work experience preferably in the tertiary education sector.
  • Basic knowledge in word processing (MS Word) and presentation (PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel functions (e.g. Vlookup/Xlookup, Pivot Table and Pivot Charts) for reporting of statistics.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous with an eye for detail.
  • Keen in process improvement and efficiency.
  • Able to work independently and in a team.
  • Proactive and possess a positive attitude.
