£10.72 per hour [APM Grade 2]

Student Academic Services is a constituent element of the Academic Services Directorate. which provides high quality professional services to students, staff and external stakeholders in aspects relating to academic administration for taught and research programmes of study, including student case, complaints, examinations, assessment and progression and degree and award congregations. Its remit is to support the University’s strategic ambitions and to deliver, where appropriate, institution wide change, affecting improvements in key strategic areas to enhance the Swansea student experience. Academic Services is proud to hold the Cabinet Office’s Customer Service Excellence Award and Investors in People Silver Award and will continue to ensure service excellence through engagement, partnership and innovation.

The post-holder will support the work of the University’s Examinations Office in delivering examination arrangements across both campuses and providing a high-quality student experience.

Invigilators will be expected to assist the Chief Invigilator in distributing question papers, supervising the examination and collecting and recording details of the completed scripts at the end of each examination.

This role will suit applicants who are highly organised, have good communications skills (verbal and written) and who can demonstrate an understanding of the importance of the examination processes.

Experience of is delivering effective professional services is essential.

The role holder is expected to be available during the University’s main examination periods.  For the 2022/23 academic year these will be Monday 9th January to Friday 27th January 2023 and Monday 15th May to Friday 9th June 2023.
