Key Responsibilities  

The Events Support Assistant is responsible for the following: 

  • Assisting at STEM College run events, in-person, online and hybrid  

  • Assisting in physical set up and pack down of events (movement of items 15kg or less)  

  • Greeting and making guests at events feel welcome and actioning appropriate check-in processes  

  • Problem solving and taking direction from event leadership when aspects of a plan do not run accordingly  

  • Assisting guests with their varied and diverse needs as required at in-person events  

  • Other duties as required and commensurate with salary 

 

Key Selection Criteria  

To be successful in this position, you’ll have:  

  • Strong oral, written and communication skills with demonstrated attention to detail  

  • Experience in customer service   

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain stakeholder relationships at all levels

  • Proven ability to successfully operate independently as well as in a team setting, in a fast-paced environment and to identified deadlines.
