Job Summary:

The Entrepreneurship Science Lab is a multi-disciplinary team of scholars working to harness science to invent technologies and produce insights to improve the prevalence and success rates of student entrepreneurs.
This position will be responsible for managing data and coordinating the core research database of the Entrepreneurship Science Lab. The work of the position will include writing programs to build databases and fields under the direction of the research team, in addition to proactively generating insights from the data and producing documentation. Work conducted must adhere to security practices designed to protect the confidentiality of selected data series. This position will help to refine and improve data security practices.

Responsibilities: Supports research by designing, programming, and coding systems which will array data for reports and retrieval.

  • 25% Provides research methodology, database programming expertise, and database management to support research
  • 5% Assesses faculty, staff, and student needs for research data retrieval and develops retrieval mechanisms
  • 25% Designs and develops a system of databases for research data in a format suitable for analysis
  • 5% Monitors research data acquisition and conversion and conducts research data quality control checks
  • 30% Designs, develops, codes, and documents programs for integrating research data
  • 10% Oversees data use by faculty, staff, and students to maintain compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and protocols

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have experience and an understanding of SQL, python, STATA, and R, or a willingness and ability to learn these tools, as well as being well-versed or having the ability and willingness to learn to use collaborative tools such as Slack, Monday.com, Google Docs, and Microsoft Office.

Work Type:

Full Time: 100%
It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. It is possible some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location. Remote work flexibility is dependent on supervisor approval.

Salary:

Minimum $65,000 ANNUAL (12 months)
