The University of Pittsburgh is seeking an ERP Financial Applications Analyst for the Pitt Information Technology (Pitt IT) Financial Systems department. Individual contributor supporting operational activities, system maintenance, troubleshooting, and usage of an ERP (enterprise resource planning) financial application. The PantherExpress system is the cloud-based purchasing tool and preferred procurement and payment mechanism for most goods and services purchased at the University. The ERP Financial Applications Analyst position is situated with the University’s Information Technology organization and will primarily be focused on supporting PantherExpress and related information technology services supporting the business functions of purchasing, pay, and travel. Experience with e-procurement systems or similar is preferred.
Working under direct supervision, the analyst will perform operational activities including troubleshooting workflows, researching, and resolving system errors, and working with Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Customer Service Representative) customer facing teams. The analyst will be responsible for various system maintenance activities in PantherExpress including onboarding new suppliers for enablement, updating workflow rules, managing system and user roles, and user/role provisioning. Additional system maintenance activities include developing and managing forms, templates, and other system items. The analyst will participate in testing and other release management activities.
The position requires good organizational and time management skills working in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment. The ability to quickly prioritize tasks and adjust to changes in work tasks is important. Some interactions and communications (voice, email, chat, etc.) with users is expected.

Equivalent combinations of education, relevant experience, and industry certifications may be considered per University guidelines. Individual must have experience with information systems. Preferably business/financial process-related systems such as Oracle E-Business Suite, and/or other planning and budgeting tools or applications. Experience can include development, functional, technical, support, or operations related in an area where information technology systems are used as standard operating procedure. Individual must be proficient with applications in Windows and other browser-based tools and applications. Skills with ERP and other similar applications is highly desirable.
