Environmental Field Service Technician

Clean Harbors in Winnipeg, MB is seeking a Field Service Technician to join their safety conscious team! This role is associated with hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination, working in confined spaces and the handling of hazardous materials.

• Ability to be physical at work, routinely lift and move objects.
• Previous experience working in confined spaces and at heights is preferred.
• Previous experience working with a respirator preferred.
• Ability to travel; this position can require overnight travel as needed.
• Ability to be clean shaven and wear respirator for work.

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
• Operates light and heavy equipment including, but not limited to pumps, vacuum trucks, and equipment, oil spill boom, generators, bobcats, etc.
• Performs chemical and water spills and environmental clean-up.
• Performs Confined Space entries -working with Tank and Vessel Cleaning.
• Performs work at heights, on platforms.
• Performs various tasks associated with Hazardous Waste and Waste cleanups.
• Performs a variety of labour project work.
• Handles various hand tools and powered industrial tools, including pressure washers and saws.
• Wears respirators for work.
• Other duties as assigned.
