Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Engineering Intern for employment for the Mississauga, ON office .

This is a temporary full-time role starting in May 2024 for 4 months.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

• Supporting the Project Manager and other staff to deliver projects to budget, schedule and to AECOM’s quality standards.

• Assist in managing the delivery of a subset of varied project activities.

• Help coordinate project team activities and learn to work effectively with Clients, Contractors, Engineers, Project Managers, and other consultants.

• Learn how to provide guidance to designers and technical staff to meet client objectives.

• Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing with project team and clients

• Evaluate technical alternatives, resolve technical issues and interface with other disciplines

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Currently completing their Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

• Must have completed their second year of study

Preferred Requirements:

• Technical knowledge related to delivery of transit projects.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills

• Ability to multi-task combined with strong attention to detail, time management and organizational skills.

• Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position typically is $20.00 – $27.00
