Engineer (.Net)

As a .NET engineer you will join a growing Agile Delivery Team made up of Engineers, Testers and Analysts who are optimising & modernising the university’s systems ready for the Cloud as we aim to move much of our estate into Azure PaaS.   You will be involved in the full development lifecycle and on any given day you could be involved in any of the following:

  • Attending daily stand ups, design meetings, planning events and retrospectives
  • Writing, developing, testing and reviewing code
  • Investigating the feasibility of change requests
  • Adding functionality to applications by designing and implementing solutions
  • Working with 3rd party suppliers and external contractors
  • Support for existing applications if needed

About you:

  • You enjoy working with the latest technologies and working at all stages of the software development lifecycle.
  • You love writing maintainable and reusable code in Microsoft C# and .Net Core/5 or the .Net Framework.
  • You have experience working with cloud-based PaaS technologies.
  • You enjoy problem solving and adapting to the changing needs or requirements.
  • You have knowledge of and/or the experience of working in agile delivery teams.

This is a full time, permanent post working 37 hours per week.
