Digital and Technology Services at the University of Nottingham are embarking upon an exciting period of digital transformation, including a key strategic project to replace the core HR, Finance and Procurement systems with Oracle Fusion (HCM, Financial, EPM and SCM) over the next year.
As Engagement and Communications Specialist, you will develop and deliver effective, high-quality communications for the Digital Core project. You will play a key role in promoting the achievements of the project team, and preparing the university for the rollout of new processes, through a variety of channels including websites, newsletters, emails, printed and social media.
You will be an exceptional communicator, adept at developing and delivering engaging communications and translating complex technical messages into user-friendly formats suitable for non-technical audiences. This role requires proven research/copy writing skills and experience of producing quality digital and print materials, as well as creating dynamic web and social media content. You will engage regularly with the central External Relations team to ensure a consistent approach to the branding, style, and tone of all published communications.
You are used to working autonomously, and with a wide range of diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders, at all levels within an organisation. An exceptional ability to influence others with strong interpersonal skills and a flexible, highly adaptable approach, able to support managing tight and conflicting deadlines are required.

As the successful candidate, you will have a relevant degree/professional qualification or proven track record of relevant work experience, ideally working within an internal communications team within a large organisation or in a technical environment.
This role is fixed term until 31st July 2024. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours); however, applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week).
