Endpoint/Hardware Services Specialist
Office of Information Technology
The Endpoint/Hardware Services Specialist is a member of the team that is responsible for procurement, maintenance and repair, and deployment of endpoint hardware for the University. The incumbent will collaborate with the Manager of Hardware Services with the endpoint lifecycle from ordering, delivery, pre-sale storage, configuration, inventory management, repair, and surplus and offboarding. This Endpoint/Hardware Services Specialist will prioritize service with a high degree of responsiveness and partnership. This position will analyze and identify trends in reported issues and devise preventative solutions. This position will work closely with team members to store, maintain, distribute endpoint hardware, infrastructure, and supplies across the Brown campus. This position will make recommendations to the Manager, Hardware Services to streamline processes, procedures and services. Works independently and utilizes a variety of enterprise-level computing tools and expertise to solve customer problems. Multiple technical processes are involved in this role, from use of endpoint management systems to technical repairs, to work with vendors for repair authorization, configuration, and ordering.
