Endoscopy Tech II – Center for Advanced Endoscopy HC2 – Full Time 12 Hour Days (Non-Exempt) (Union)

As an integral part of the Endoscopy Services Team, the Endoscopy Technician II performs assistance duties during advanced endoscopic procedures (i.e. ERCP) under the supervision of the physician and the registered nurse; works collaboratively with the nursing staff, medical staff and all members of the health care team; demonstrates professionalism through communication, education and participation as a team member; and is responsible for the safe, quality care, and safety of patients who come under his/her care. The GI Endoscopy Tech II generally processes moderate to complex endoscopic equipment.

Minimum Education:
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a G.I./Endoscopy program or an accredited Surgical Technician program is required.

Minimum Experience/Knowledge:
• Two years previous GI Lab/Endoscopy experience required.
• One year of Advanced endoscopy ( i.e. ERCP) procedure experience preferred.

Required License/Certification:
• Valid Certified Surgical Tech (CST) or Surgery-Certified Credential (TS-C) from CAAHEP or ABHES certification required.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association
• Fire and Safety Certification- If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only)
