Position Summary:
The incumbent works in the Office of the Provost and Executive Vice-President (Academic) (OPEVPA), in the team led by the Associate Provost (Equity and Academic Policies)) which provides leadership on and serves as a central contact point for key equity and inclusion initiatives at McGill. Reporting to the Senior Employment Equity Advisor, the incumbent actively implements McGill’s strategic equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) plans in line with McGill’s core mission, principles, policies, and regulations. The incumbent works to ensure smooth and constructive collaboration among key participating units (e.g., OPVPA, Human Resources, and McGill Faculties), liaising also with external community partners, and strengthening synergy among these units.
Primary Responsibilities:

Experience in equity work, notably in connection with equity in the workplace. Experience working in higher education. Proven ability to work in a PC environment using MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point & Outlook). Excellent communication skills in English and French spoken and written. Proven ability to work with individuals at all levels. HR Certification an asset
