Today, Carrier needs your talent to build upon this legacy and create solutions that matter for people and our planet.
Position Summary:
Carrier is seeking a technical program lead to lead the research, development and deployment of model-based development (MBD) techniques for electrification of refrigeration and HVAC energy systems that enable reduction or elimination of carbon and other harmful emissions and deliver greater customer value.
As a MBD technical program lead, you will work with global, cross disciplinary teams to apply model-based design and verification tools and methods to create the next generation of more electrified refrigeration and HVAC systems incorporating battery energy storage and power converters, inverters, variable frequency drives (VFDs) for transport refrigeration and building energy applications. The company will rely on you to expand the application of MBD in the electrified HVAC/R systems space, develop innovative processes, workflows and tools leveraging internal and external ecosystems and experts to increase the engineering effectiveness.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities for this position will be:
- Lead projects / teams for model-based design and analysis of electrified HVAC/R systems and energy management algorithms with emphasis on transport refrigeration units (TRUs) for global truck and trailer applications
- Lead and execute MBD deployment plan for product applications with business units (Carrier Transicold, Residential and Commercial HVAC).
- Document MBD workflows and standard work. Productionize Electrification Systems MBD toolsets and provide training.
- Support the business unit in electrified refrigeration systems MBD applications; identify and propose new system and energy management concepts that enhance product performance and differentiation.
