Educational Studies Research Bursaries

The Department of Educational Studies at Goldsmiths is offering three PhD bursaries to prospective students to start in the academic year 2023/2024. The Department has an established MPhil/PhD in Education , and a MPhil/PhD in Art Practice and Learning . Together these programmes provide opportunities for study in a wide range of topics relating to the field of education. Research proposals are encouraged in any of the areas in which the Department has expertise, subject to supervisor availability. Staff profiles are accessible here .

Bursaries include one bursary at 100% of full-time enrolment fees and two bursaries at 75% of part-time enrolment fees at the home rate and are payable for up to a maximum of three years of full-time study and six years part-time study (subject to satisfactory progress). International students are eligible to apply for bursaries but will be expected to pay the difference between home and international fee rates themselves.

How to apply

Applicants should have excellent qualifications in Education or a closely related area of the Arts and Social Sciences.

Prospective students need first to apply to the Department for a place on the MPhil/PhD in Education or the MPhil/PhD in Art Practice and Learning and have been offered a place on the programme by 5pm (BST) on Friday December 2rd 2022.
