At the Centre for Teaching Excellence (CTE) at Capilano University, we are a dedicated team of educational professionals committed to enhancing pedagogical practices within the University. CTE members play a key role in championing innovative teaching and learning and serve as a central resource for faculty, building capacity by providing resources and support on evidence- and equity-based educational practices through consultation and facilitation. We support the digital learning experience by empowering faculty and students to integrate and adopt educational technologies.

About the roleThe Educational Developer – Indigenous Pedagogy is an integral member of the Educational Development Team in the Centre for Teaching Excellence. The Educational Developer – Indigenous Pedagogy will walk alongside faculty across the university to provide guidance on Indigenous ways of knowing and being for the purposes of facilitation, programming, curriculum, and resource development in order to enhance teaching and learning practices in all modalities including in-person, online, and land-based learning.
The Educational Developer – Indigenous Pedagogy will promote excellence and innovation in teaching and learning while carrying out the following responsibilities:

Salary Scale Salary range $71,846 to $115,129 with normal starting salary between $78,872 and $85,897 annually, dependent on relevant education and experience. Scale placement will be completed according to the Collective Agreement.
