JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Edna Bennett Pierce Prevention Research Center (PRC) at The Pennsylvania State University, is seeking applicants for the position of Education Strategy and Planning Manager.
This is a grant-funded position that provides overall management of a multi-state, collaborative research project. This employee will oversee and facilitate the work of 5 state-level project coordinators, one in Pennsylvania and the other four in partnering states within HHS Region 3.
The Education Strategy and Planning Manager’s job duties will include but are not limited to; working with state-level coordinators to assure the development and implementation of Technical Assistance (TA) for mental health and substance misuse prevention and treatment providers. This will involve meetings to arrange for the delivery of Mental Health First Aid across all 5 states, to develop and deliver 2 public webinars per year per state, and to assist other states in the dissemination of web-based modules created by Penn State EPIS. Work with the project evaluation leader and the collaborating states to collect needs assessment data, develop data collection protocols, and assure timely collection of data from TA participants.

Education and Experience:
Typically requires a Master’s degree plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have expertise working with Microsoft Excel and experience in other Microsoft Office programs such as Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
Additional Information:
This position requires the following clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. Employment will require successful completion of background checks(s) in accordance with University policies.
The position does require travel.
This is a limited-term appointment funded for one year from the date of hire with the excellent possibility of re-funding.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
