Education Program Coordinator I

In the role of Education Program Coordinator I, you will join a dynamic team that provides support and coordination for the educational mission in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences.

Primary Functions

  •   Implement institutional or program activities (e.g., educational events such as Grand Rounds and Continuing Medical Education, Fall Symposium, Retina Symposium, Distinguished Lecture Series, and Vision Science Forum)

  •   Coordinate medical student shadowing and electives

  •   Support residency and fellowship programs activities as needed (e.g., recruitment, interviews, orientation, schedules, and graduation).

  •   Serve as liaison with faculty, administration, other departments, affiliates, outside institutions, and national organizations.

  •   Maintain database(s) to track, schedule, and record activities related to the institution, program(s), and learners.

  •   Provide information, support, and problem solving for leaders, faculty, and staff.

  •   Process reimbursements and coordinate travel arrangements.

  •   Coordinate assessment and evaluation activities.

Preferred Schedule:

Mon-Fri 7:30-4:00pm with flexibility

Position Requirements:

Knowledge – Skills – Abilities

Knowledge of computers, clerical procedures, customer service standards, collaboration, and information management.

Organization, time management, critical thinking, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Specifications

Appropriate experience may be substituted on equivalent basis

Minimum Required Education: Bachelor’s degree

Minimum Required Experience: 2 years
