Vaccination Requirement

The University of Nebraska Medicine Center (UNMC) requires COVID-19 vaccinations for all students, staff, and faculty. All employees must be fully vaccinated unless they have requested and been approved for an exemption based on a recognized medical reason, a sincerely held religious belief, or a pre-approved, 100% remote work agreement. Fully vaccinated means having received one dose of a single dose COVID-19 vaccine (Johnson & Johnson) or both doses of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccination series (Moderna and Pfizer).

As a prospective and/or a new employee at UNMC, you will be/are required to comply with the UNMC’s vaccination protocol. Non-faculty new hires, rehires and transfers will have five (5) days from the date of hire to provide proof of partial or full vaccination or to request a medical or religious exemption. Non-faculty new hires, rehires and transfers with proof of partial vaccination may have up to thirty-five (35) days from the hire date to be in full compliance with this policy. Non-faculty new hires, rehires and transfers who receive a denial of a request for medical or religious exemption will be given five (5) business days from exemption denial notification date to provide proof of compliance with this policy. Non-faculty new hires, rehires and transfers with no approved exemption who fail to comply with this policy will be separated.

Position Summary POSTING FOR UNMC EMPLOYEES ONLY
Position will serve as editorial specialist and project coordinator providing overall editorial, graphic, and project management for the Department of Pharmacology and Experimental Neuroscience including assisting department faculty members with grant proposal development and editing; formatting to agency guidelines.
Will consult with individual investigators, on an as needed basis, to strengthen grant proposals through improved writing, design and use of university resources. Will build and maintain a library of materials needed during the grant writing process.
Will also be the Managing Editor, Neuroimmune Pharmacology and Therapeutics (NIPT).
