Primary Function of Organizational Unit The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine is dedicated to providing excellence in education, patient care, research, and service in mental health. Job Duties The primary purpose of this Staff Nurse is to provide nursing support to patients and coordination of patient care at the Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine. The nursing support and coordination of care includes patient education, physical and mental status, triaging of patients and assisting providers, residents, medical students and other learns and patient testing. This professional nursing care is rendered to patients in compliance with the medical care directed by physicians.
Minimum Education/Experience Graduation from state-accredited school of professional nursing and licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation State of North Carolina Registered Nursing License
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education Graduation from state-accredited school of professional nursing and licensed to practice as a Nurse in North Carolina. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institution.
Previous experience in a behavioral health care setting working with children and adults.
License or Certification Required by the Department State of North Carolina Registered Nursing License
