About the role

You will have an understanding of early childhood development and the ability to provide a quality learning environment, You will also  have demonstrated the ability to lead a team, delegate tasks and supervise others.

You will:

  • plan, implement and critically reflect on programs based on the children’s individual needs;
  • communicate effectively with children, families, educators and other professionals;
  • be responsibility for a diverse group of children;
  • provide children with a safe and stimulating environment; and
  • supervise and provide leadership to other staff.

About you

You will demonstrate experience providing quality care and learning environments for children whilst understanding health and safety requirements specific to Early Childhood Education. You will have well-developed organisational, written and communication skills including conflict resolution and the demonstrated the ability to lead a team, delegate tasks and supervise others.

You will possess:

  • Understanding of the Education and Care Services National Regulations, the National Quality Standard, the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF) and the National Early Year Learning Framework (EYLF).
  • Knowledge and understanding of early childhood development and the ability to convey acceptance of and sensitivity to the values and needs of individuals.
  • Ability to lead a team, delegate tasks, supervise others and work as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of planning culturally appropriate and anti-biased quality programs.
