What you’ll do 

This is an Early Childhood Care and Education position in the Children’s Centre on campus. The position works collaboratively with other educators, and with the Centre for Childhood Studies, to provide a nurturing, inclusive and rich early learning environment for young children. The position reports to the Manager of the Children’s Centre and to the Dean of the faculty of Education, Health and Human Development.

• What you’ll bring
• Completion of an Early Childhood Education diploma program (which includes the Early Childhood Education certificate, Special Needs Education license and Infant/Toddler Education license).
• Strong knowledge of the BC Early Learning Framework and ability to implement it into practise.
• One year of directly related experience in a child care centre (or other early year’s setting) within the last two years.
• Completion of a valid safety oriented first-aid certificate.

Days and Hours of WorkThe Children’s Centre is open Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. 8-hour shifts will vary according to shift rotations. This position may include working evenings and weekends based on departmental needs.

Salary$29.77 per hour based on 37.5 hours per week (with increments up to $33.46 per hour)
