The Opportunity:
Reporting to the director of Disability Support Services (DSS), the coordinator provides oversight, implementation, and planning of testing services for disabled students with assigned testing accommodations, and for other students as capacity allows. Works with Disability Support Services staff, faculty members, student proctors, students, and academic advisors to identify and meet testing needs. Must address any identified concerns as they arise and plan and make recommendations to the director for current and future testing support. Provides training for and supervision and evaluation of student proctors. Exercises good judgement in notifying the DSS director of any concerns or pending concerns that could affect center operations and/or the students and faculty who use the center. Expected to work some evening hours and Saturdays as needed. Expected to assist the accessibility coordinator during peak intake periods when testing requests are at a minimum, as assigned by the director. Makes recommendations to the director, or designee, in any areas needing decision support.
