About Advancement 
The Advancement Office aims to facilitate the establishment and maintenance of mutually beneficial relationships between the University and its alumni, friends and benefactors. It is responsible for the management of programs relating to alumni and benefactors and provides services to and works collaboratively with faculties and other central administration areas. 

About the Role 
As the Donor Relations Coordinator (Gifts in Wills), you will be responsible for the delivery of a coordinated and personalised stewardship program for confirmed and prospective donors who intend to support the University through a Gift in Will. Your role will connect donors with the impact of Gifts in Wills through bespoke communications and reports, personal correspondence and engagement through events with the goal of making those donors feel valued, recognised and engaged with the University and the impact of their support. Your role also contributes to the Donor Relations Shared Service’s objectives to enhance the donor experience, increase donor retention and support pipeline development through the above mentioned activities. 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Manage a multi-tiered stewardship and engagement strategy for the University’s gifts in Will donors 

  • Identify potential subjects for living donor testimonials, and realised bequest stories, and, in conjunction with the University’s communications team, develop and deliver inspiring stories about the impact of gifts in Wills on the University 

  • Monitor and track the impact of realised bequests to enable the promotion in Donor Relations and Development mass communications 

  • Coordinate, prepare and send personal correspondence to donors, including acknowledgement of a confirmed Gift in Will, birthday cards, holiday cards 

About You 
To be successful in this role, you will have advanced written, verbal, communication and customer service skills that will assist you in operating effectively as part of a team and/or individually. Your high level of organisational and project management skills will encourage you to complete individual workload in a timely manner to meet with strict deadlines. You will be a confident and self-motivated individual with a high level of attention to detail and experience delivering events to a wide range of various communities. You will be a risk-taker who is passionate about fostering a fast-paced high achievement work environment.  

You will also have: 

  • An appropriate tertiary qualification with relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training as per the current Enterprise Agreement classifications 

  • Experience in the delivery of donor, customer or stakeholder relations strategy and operational activities 

  • An understanding of the principles of and current best practice in donor relations and its relationship to fundraising, preferably in an education environment 

  • Experience in the delivery of events 

  • Demonstrated capacity to deliver projects within time and budget
