Divisional Finance Manager – Projects

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the divisional team which provides financial oversight and support to the Maths, Physical and Life Sciences Division. Working within the divisional office and reporting to the Divisional Financial Controller, the main focus of the role will be to provide key financial advice and support to academic departments as well as overseeing the management accounting, budgeting and forecasting for a group of these departments with a combined annual turnover of more than £100m. The post holder will also undertake discrete finance related projects which may span the full range of the division’s financial activities.

About you

To successfully fulfil this challenging, diverse and exciting role you will need to be a qualified accountant, with experience in a large organisation, you will have excellent communication skills, the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and proven leadership and teamwork skills.

You will be based in the MPLS Divisional Office in Parks Road, Oxford but you may be able to agree a pattern of regular remote working with your line manager.

The Finance Division employs approximately 200 staff, most of whom are based at Hythe Bridge Street, just a short walk into central Oxford.
