Position Summary: 
Under the general direction of the health system Chief Financial Officer, with additional accountability to the Vice Dean, Faculty & Clinical Affairs, the Administrative Director of Population Health Management & Value-Based Strategies leads the Office of Population Health by providing strategic direction, leadership, planning, organization and general management for all aspects of population health, delivery system reform/innovation, accountable care and population health quality measurement for UCI Health Clinical Enterprise.  Incumbent  provides leadership to achieve the strategic priorities of UCI Health in the areas of population health, payment reform, and accountable care. In a close dyad partnership with the Medical Director of Population Health Management & Value-Based Strategies, incumbent is responsible for meeting or exceeding the institutional goals relative to the administrative and clinical aspects of population health.  Incumbent will work with leadership of the clinical enterprise and its partners to achieve the strategic priorities of the health system in the realm of population health and accountable care.  Provides leadership in developing and implementing the clinical enterprise Population Health strategy that assures proactive response to local, state, and national initiatives and supports the development of a highly reliable care delivery system. Provides strategic direction for operations management, development and implementation of business plans and strategic operating plans relative to the Office of Population Health. In conjunction with the health system CSO and other health system leaders, the incumbent will support physician network strategies and Enterprise clinical delivery.
 
 
Salary Range:
 
Annual Rate  Minimum  $123,800.00                       Midpoint $200,800.00                       Maximum   $277,800.00

Required Qualifications: 
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Demonstrated management experience in a healthcare environment
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement programs and services
Strong customer service orientation with an ability to interact effectively with all levels including staff, senior management, physicians, patients, and families
Computer familiarity using MS Office and Outlook


Demonstrated ability to problem solve and provide effective leadership with a positive focus that will enhance the medical center‘s emergency/trauma services, providing optimal patient-oriented health care in an efficient and cost-effective manner
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Health Administration, Nursing, or other related field
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
At least 5 years of increasing responsible management and leadership experience in a academic health system or other health system with a proven record of accomplishment in clinical care, operations or population health.
 
 
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a UC and/or union environment
Results oriented attitude with excellent budgeting and financial skills
Knowledge of the Orange County healthcare market
Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Health Administration, Nursing, or other related field  (R34254)
Knowledge of University and Medical Center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
