The Director of Sooner Card oversees the university’s identification technology system. The director of Sooner Card is responsible for the planning, designing, implementation, and management of complex information technology systems and budget; supervises the Sooner Card team. Director is responsible for managing and building relationships with the external vendors and consultants providing security, access control, operational technology, and IT solutions.

Education: Bachelor’s degree, AND:
- 24 months of experience in business administration, finance, or IT with demonstrated leadership capacity
Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree for a total of 72 months of experience.
Skills:
- Highly developed written, oral and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to lead, build workplace teams and manage change.
- Ability to resolve conflict.
- Expertise in multiple/software/system design applications (such as SQL, SAP, Power BI, Weka, Blackboard Transaction Systems, and Project Management styles) with ability to interface between them.
- Advanced and comprehensive knowledge of the process area, including ability to develop and integrate highly complex information technology systems.
- Independently solves advanced problems without supervision.
Special/Physical Requirements: Frequent exposure to pressure caused by deadlines and busy period; requires contact with other departments and university officials. Travel to/from North, South, Main campus and Health Sciences Center as well as local, state, and national conferences/trainings.
Supervision: Supervise exempt and non-exempt staff.
Department Preference: Prof. Certification in systems administration, networking, and/or project management
