Secondment Opportunity: Director of Product and Operations – University of Nottingham Online (UoNO)    

The University of Nottingham Online (UoNO) is one of the key vehicles by which it will achieve its ambition of becoming ‘a university without borders’. UoNO will generate new revenue streams for the University by engaging a diverse constituency of learners seeking an alternative to an on-campus learning experience. It will leverage the University’s global reach and reputation to attract new potential learners; connecting with those who wish to engage online with our product suites comprising world-leading programmes, continuing professional development and lifelong learning opportunities. 

The Director of Product and Operations is an exciting opportunity to help shape the development, implementation, and delivery of UoNO. As a member of UoNO’s Senior Leadership Team, you will work in close collaboration with the CEO and Academic Director to ensure the development and delivery of a world-class, online learning experience for all UoNO’s learners. You will have an in depth understanding of online learning and an ability to apply this technically to support the development and delivery of tailored online learning platforms and digital ecosystems with the vision, enthusiasm and commitment required to build the UoNO into a recognised leader in online learning in the UK and beyond. 

The post is offered on a full time (36.25 hours per week), fixed term contract until 31 August 2026. Job share arrangements may be considered. It is open to colleagues in all job families.
