ThedepartmentisseekingaDirectorofFinanceandOperations(DFO)topartnerwiththedepartment facultyandstafftoachievecontinuedgrowth,innovation,andexcellenceinresearchandteaching.

Reportingtothechairofmanagementscienceandengineering,withasecondaryreporting relationshiptotheseniorassociatedeanforadministrationattheSchoolofEngineering,theDFOwill providestrategicleadershipanddirectionfortheoperations,administration,andfinancesforthe department.

Asthepartnertothechair,thiscriticalleadershippositionwillensuresoundmanagementofthe departmentandworkwiththechairandfacultyleadersonnewandexistingprogramsandinitiatives toenablethedepartmenttoachieveitsstrategicandoperationalgoals.Additionally,theDFOserves astheliaisontotheschoolanduniversityinallbusinessmattersforthedepartmentwithacombined budget of more than $25 million annually.

Astheadministrativeleaderforthedepartment,theDFOprovidesleadershipanddirectionforall financialandadministrativefunctions,includingbudgetingandfinancialmanagement,strategic planning,humanresources,studentservices,facultyaffairs,informationtechnology,development, facilities/spaceplanning,compliance,andsafety.TheDFOmanagesdepartmentoperations,andin partnershipwiththechair,establishestheadministration’sorganizationalstructureandenvironment, andhasoversightforadministrativepoliciesandproceduresinthedepartment.

Education&Experience(Required)

  • Bachelorʼsdegreeandfiveyearsofrelevantexperienceinadministrativeandfinancial management,orcombinationofeducationandrelevantexperience.
