Director of Doctoral College Operations

This is an exciting new role leading the professional services team in the Doctoral College, working alongside a new Associate Pro Vice-Chancellor Research (Doctoral).

About the role

The role will oversee teams responsible for the recruitment and admission of new Postgraduate Research students as well as Professional Doctorate and PhD Operations.

The Doctoral College is responsible for all Postgraduate Research students at the University of Bath, working in partnership with our three faculties and the School of Management, as well as a range of Doctoral Training Entities (DTEs). 

This is an exciting time to join the University of Bath and the Doctoral College as we set out on a new strategic journey post-REF to build our doctoral training capacity for the future.

This role is offered on a full time (36.5 hours per week) permanent basis. 

About you

  • Experience of operational leadership and process improvement.
  • Knowledge of the external policy environment in which Higher Education operates and issues pertinent to doctoral education.
  • Ability to work authoritatively and respectfully with stakeholders across the University.
