General Summary:
Reporting to the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Enrollment Management, the Director of Admissions within the Division of Enrollment Management, will be responsible for leading and directing undergraduate recruitment, admission and enrollment initiatives. As an integral member of the leadership team, the incumbent will lead Undergraduate Admissions in continuing the institution’s successful record of attracting, enrolling, and retaining new freshmen, transfer and international students, while maintaining the diversity of entering classes using advanced and innovative recruitment technologies and techniques. The incumbent will serve as a spokesperson for the mission and values of the university.
Examples of Duties:
- Track market data and utilize it to create a comprehensive recruitment strategy that considers first-year, transfer and international audiences and is aligned with the University’s Strategic Plan;
- Continue to develop and leverage enrollment technologies via the continued improvement of Technolutions’s Slate: event management, prospect management, recruitment management, application management, and more;
- Identify and use an understanding of national trends and demographic changes to inform first-year, transfer and international student recruitment travel and strategy;
- Work with the admissions team and Enrollment Management Marketing professionals to develop and execute a customer service-oriented strategy for qualifying leads, communicating with prospective students, cultivating strong applicant relationships, and tracking recruitment performance from inquiry through to registration
- Work collaboratively to plan and execute impactful on-campus and off-campus recruitment and yield events;
- Represent the university and on-and-off campus recruitment and yield events;
LEADERSHIP & SUPERVISION
- Serve as a though-leader, innovator, collaborator and content expert in the undergraduate recruiting and admissions space, working to promote and elevate the university’s reputation locally, nationally and internationally;
- Hire, train, supervise and mentor admissions staff, with a particular impact on development and strategic direction;
ENROLLMENT MARKETING
- Strategize with Enrollment Management Directors as well as the marketing team to support and ensure the development of engaging content and design for recruitment-related marketing materials;
- Work with Enrollment Marketing team to develop multi-channel and audience-specific communication plans;
- Pursue a data-informed approach when making marketing decisions pertaining to platform, medium, audience, message, spend, etc.;
COLLABORATION & RELATIONSHIP BUILDING
- Collaborate with the offices within Enrollment Management as well as colleges and departments external to the division to ensure comprehensive, coordinated and effective recruitment and enrollment efforts;
- Serve as a member of the Enrollment Management leadership team, as well as serve on various University-wide committees;
- Build and maintain strong relationships on-and-off campus including, but not limited to, faculty and staff, prospective and current students, high school and community college counselors, third-party vendors, Enrollment Management colleagues, etc.;
- Work closely with colleagues across campus to provide enrollment expertise as it relates to developing and implementing new programs, with particular focus of those with a high demand;
FORECASTING, PLANNING & REPORTING
- Strategize with divisional leadership on setting and meeting enrollment goals based on student type, residency, and academic college/program;
- Coordinate with the Exec. Director of Financial Aid Services and the Director of Merit Scholarships to conceive and execute a merit scholarship strategy that meets university enrollment and fiscal goals;
- Analyze and monitor departmental data, including prospect and application generation, processing workflow and application review to ensure that office goals are being met;
- Collaborate with divisional leadership to strategically manage the Office of Undergraduate Admissions’ departmental budget; • Provide project management oversight of system implementations and upgrades;
- Generate ad-hoc and scheduled reports and analysis to divisional and university leadership;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree and a minimum of five-seven (5-7) years of progressively responsible experience in the administration of an admissions office required. A proven track record of success in recruitment and the ability to use technology to help drive the work of an admission office. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Experience working with and recruiting diverse populations preferred. The incumbent will be required to travel, included weekends and evenings.
- A valid driver’s license is required throughout the duration of employment in this title. Expertise in facilitating organizational development and change;

Salary Range: Commensurate with experience
