Our targeted services include home and community-based treatment, residential treatment programs, group homes, and special education schools. We aim to develop trusting relationships with students and facilitate experiences that promote their ability to self-regulate; manage thoughts and feelings; and develop feelings of safety, confidence, and competency.Summary:The Director of Academics provides leadership to coordinate and supervise the effective delivery of Special Education services and serves as the chief administrator of the school in developing and implementing policies, programs, curriculum activities, and budgets in a manner that promotes the educational development of each student and the professional development of each faculty member.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Ability to work collaboratively to implement and monitor special education programs; ability to work in a supportive, collaborative role with faculty in all departments; ability to interpret and remain current on all federal, state, and local mandates for special education and Section 504 services and to ensure that the school is in compliance; handle confidential information discretely and professionally; use discretion and exercise sound judgment; exceptional public relations/interpersonal/problem solving skills to respond to parents and advocacy groups and to serve as the school’s lead representative/contact person of programs for special needs students; effective management, supervisory, team-building, and problem solving skills.Education and/or Experience:
