Huawei’s Munich Research Center is responsible for advanced technology research, architectural development, design and strategic engineering of our products.

 

We are currently looking for a Digitalization Engineering Expert (m/f/d) to research and implement digitalization tools and methods into the product development, who will act as a leading expert and technical director, concentrate on the modelling of reliability and safety mechanisms, lead the team to establish reliability analytical simulation platform, propose highly reliable and safe design solutions in various domains, and ultimately fulfill the strategic objective of reliability enhancement for company’s key business directions in large-scale AI model, GPU clusters, autonomous driving, cloud, etc.

Your mission

• Model Development: Pioneering the development of sophisticated reliability and safety models tailored to the unique characteristics and demands of digital systems within the specified domains such as LLM, GPU clusters, self-driving systems, and cloud service.
• Simulation Implementation and Optimization Strategies: Employing cutting-edge methodologies and tools to execute comprehensive reliability and safety simulations, meticulously assessing system performance under diverse operational scenarios. Formulating and executing optimization strategies to enhance reliability and efficiency metrics, leveraging insights obtained from simulation-based analyses.
• Collaborative Research and Solutions Proposal:
  Actively engaging with the production team to understand real-world constraints and challenges encountered during the deployment phases. Proposing optimized solutions that enhance reliability, mitigate risk and ensure seamless integration of technical measures into the products.
• Technology Trend Evaluation and Knowledge Sharing: Evaluating emerging technologies in the field of digitalization and reliability/safety modeling through continuous monitoring of academic literature, conferences and technological forums. Conducting in-depth analysis of new technologies and synthesizing findings into comprehensive reports and presentations. Providing training and guidance to team members on reliability/safety modeling and simulation techniques, fostering knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the department.

Your areas of expertise

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) preferably in computer science, electrical engineering, applied mathematics, we also consider outstanding applicants in mechanical engineering, system engineering and relevant domain with a specialization in modeling and simulation of reliability and safety.
• Extensive academic and industrial experience and strong project records in deploying reliability/safety models and simulations within complex digital systems
• Profound understanding and practical experience with a focus on AI techniques, LLMs, GPU clusters, self-driving systems, or cloud service.
• Superlative communication skills, adept at conveying intricate technical concepts to diverse audiences with clarity and precision.
• Fluent in written and spoken Business English
