Digital Press Operator
Location: Scarborough, ON (In-Person)
Job Type: Contractual with a Potential to become Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM (40 hours/week)
About the Role:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Digital Press Operator to join our production team. In this hands-on role, you will operate and monitor digital printing equipment to produce high-quality index tab divider products while ensuring production targets and quality standards are met.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with machinery, stays organized in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor a high-speed web press printer.
- Manage print production on two Ricoh digital copiers.
- Produce, organize, and prepare high volumes of index tab divider press sheets.
- Load paper stock and other materials into printing equipment.
- Monitor print quality and make adjustments as required.
- Prepare and stage jobs for production according to specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Assist with general production duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating printing, production, manufacturing, or other mechanical equipment is preferred.
- Basic working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to safely lift and move boxes of paper weighing up to 30 lbs.
