Communications & Production
This position is intended for a current student at McGill University who has been accepted to the Work Study program.
Under the direction of the immediate supervisor helps maintain and monitors social media platforms for the Schulich School of Music. Duties include content creation, management, and data collection. Prepares and posts concert listings and programs on official Schulich School of Music platforms as well as internal screens. Prepares visual documents according to established templates. Reviews Schulich School of Music website and calendar of events to ensure accuracy. In collaboration with the communications team, assists with general communications planning and helps with the creation of engaging content for Schulich School of Music website and social media as well as the preparation of reports.
Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities
High level of English written and oral communication skills and high level of French written and spoken. Advanced knowledge of concert music and music terminology Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Willing to attend McGill web training. Social media savvy, and a desire to share the stories of the school on the web, attentive to detail, autonomous, proactive, and professional. Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and professional environment. Possess a good eye for layout and design. Ability to work independently and with a team. Experience with the Adobe suite an asset.
