Position Summary

The DEXA Technologist will perform DEXA Bone Density scans for patients in a safe, efficient, and service-oriented manner. 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for performing high quality Dexa Bone Density scans on patients.
  • Utilizes protective equipment and prescribed safety standards in accordance with prescribed safety standards. 
  • Provides patient safety, as required. 
  • Responsible for routine and modified procedures requiring understanding of anatomical positioning, human physiology, and equipment for selection and modification of technical factors, which produce optimum results. 
  • Responsible for equipment calibration checks/field uniformity, and reporting/scheduling equipment maintenance, as necessary
  • Assists with patient scheduling. 
  • Maintains adequate supply levels.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:

  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Experience: 1+ year Dexa Scan experience

Required Certification/Licensure:

  • ARRT/DXA Certified
  • BLS Certified

Preferred Experience:

  • Radiology work experience
  • Experience with GE Lunar
  • Limited license in X-Ray, Phlebotomy

Additional Information:

  • This position is represented by a collective bargaining agreement.
