Summary of Duties:
In partnership with the Co-Chief Development Officers, the Development Operations Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting the Carson College of Business’ development and donor relations efforts. This unique opportunity is ideal for someone who is project management and task oriented, is entrepreneurial, and wants to manage internal operations of a development program.
This position will coordinate the Carson College of Business Office of Development internal and fiscal operations. This position serves as a liaison between the Carson College of Business and the WSU Foundation, and is responsible for analyzing and auditing philanthropic activities, ensuring proper creation of gift agreements and gift accounts. In addition, this position manages the Carson College of Business pledge process. This position creates endowment and specialized impact reports for donors and alumni. This position is responsible for donor and alumni communication pertaining to Gift Use Agreements (GUA), pledge agreements, specialized impact reports, and student thank you letters for scholarships. This position will collaborate with CCB scholarship office, providing on-going analysis and reconciliation of endowed and current use scholarship funds in the college.
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to area of specialization and three (3) years of experience directly related to the specialty area. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and to travel.
Possession of, or ability to obtain by the time of hire, a valid driver’s license.
Demonstrated computer capabilities and familiarity with spreadsheets and database systems.
Demonstrated strong project management and time management skills; demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects with critical deadlines and changing priorities.
Demonstrated ability to gather and present data in an organized and meaningful way.
Understanding of privacy and data security best practices; demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information appropriately and maintain confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with non-profit foundations, higher education, or alumni relations.
Demonstrated experience working independently, but within a collaborative team environment, and ability to establish priorities and follow-up in a timely manner.
Demonstrated ability to keep accurate records and completely timely reports and maintain the confidentiality of proprietary data.
Experience with iModules and/or Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Cybersource, and Mailchimp is preferred.
