Job Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Assistant Athletic Director for Development and the direct supervision of the Sr. Director of Development for Annual Giving and Major Gifts, the incumbent is responsible for:
* Development Office donor data management and customer relationship management systems
* Data base account activity management for multiple systems
* Process, analyze, and reconcile pledges and financial transactions
* Coordinated and assist with the implementation of department practices, policies and procedures
* Support Development Officers by preparing donor profiles, research documents, and gift fund reporting
* Liaison with Athletic Business Office and UW Foundation for gift allocation and reconciliation.
* Perform various administrative duties
* Other duties as assigned for the benefit of Wisconsin Athletics

Responsibilities: Responsible for a variety of professional level work across a variety of administrative service areas including budget, finance, procurement, and human resources with impact across the institution in support of unit or institutional goals.

  • 25% Implements and executes established policies and procedures for a designated work unit to adhere to unit objectives and to align with established strategies
  • 20% Schedules logistics and secures resources for a designated work unit to contribute to the day-to-day operational success
  • 30% Analyzes data and trends, compiles progress reports, and provides appropriate recommendations or conclusions in support of the assigned operational work unit(s)
  • 5% Serves on committees and attends meetings, representing the interests of the unit or program
  • 20% Management of UW Athletics Donor database (Paciolan, Salesforce & Abe) including gift processing and allocating, as well as back office set up and oversight.

Required
Bachelor’s Degree

Qualifications:

* Experience with customer database platforms is required. Preference given for experience with Paciolan and Salesforce.
* Excellent leadership, decision making, interpersonal, organizational, oral, written communication skills and attention to detail.
* Competency and experience with office automation (use of Word, Excel, Power Point, other comparable applications).
* Demonstrated ability to be highly energetic and self-starting.
* Ability to attend various functions including nights, weekends, meetings, and conferences.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, and funding representatives from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds.
* Effectively work in a highly consultative, diverse, and collaborative environment.

Conditions of Appointment: This is a 100% Academic Staff appointment. Salary will be assigned within the appropriate range, commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
