About the Role
An exciting opportunity has become available in the Department of Advancement at Swinburne University for a Development Officer – Philanthropic Services.
This role will give the successful applicant an exciting opportunity to provide administration support to Development members of the Advancement team, to assist in the delivery of the strategy and objectives of the Advancement Office. The Development Officer will be responsible for key areas of internal and external stakeholder management, database usage, and facilitating & assisting with donor meetings and events.
The Development Officer – Advancement will possess strong administration experience and strong attention to detail, time management and organisational skills. In this role the opportunity to work closely with the Development Managers and Associate Director will allow further exposure to the philanthropic field.
About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Knowledge of donor relations and philanthropy, or willingness to learn
- Knowledge of Higher Education operating environment
- Previous experience with a CRM
- Able to communicate both written and verbally effectively with various stakeholders (e.g., senior staff, donors) and strong attention to detail
Qualifications
- Completion of a degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or completion of an associate diploma and substantial subsequent relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
