Unit Position Summary

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support stewardship-related efforts through benefit fulfillment according to donor level, as well as highlighting the impact of individualized philanthropy.
  • Provide support for donor events, including registration, setup and tear down, coordinating with vendors, and assisting donor needs.
  • Lead and support game day operational priorities
  • Supervise and schedule student workers/groups for assignments related to event parking, premium seating in football, basketball, and hockey
  • Aid in communications efforts, including social media, website, and mailings
  • Provide exemplary customer service to all constituents
  • Develop and maintain donor relationships via phone, email, and in person
  • Assist in identification, discovery, acquisition, and retention initiatives
  • Execute renewal, lapsed, and long lapsed donor calls asking for support
  • Research prospects and make introductory calls
  • Engage with donors who are within 10% of next donor level
  • Acknowledge and welcome new Spartan Fund donors
  • Provide coverage in front office area greeting donors and answering phones when necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

Desired Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate degree and experience in athletics, sales, higher education, or related field.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint;
  • Experience with using Outlook and other scheduling tools;
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, details, and prioritize work to meet deadlines;
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills and ability to interact with varied constituents in a timely, courteous and professional manner;
  • Ability to interpret information in order to coordinate events and respond to questions; demonstrates a work orientation that includes problem solving, teamwork and adaptability to change, focus on service, and continuous learning for self-improvement

Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides professional support. Responsibilities may include general business, science, medical, agricultural or other professional support functions. Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between and at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period.
