Job description
Join Austria’s newest public technical university and shape the future of research and education in digital technologies. As a Design Lab Expert, you will play a key role in establishing and running the Design Lab, providing a platform for hands-on learning and creative design processes.Ihre Aufgaben
- Ensure the smooth operation of the Design Lab, including managing equipment, materials, and resources
- Support students and professors in their design projects and foster hands-on experience
- Contribute to the design and implementation of projects
- Implement and monitor safety protocols, including the safe handling of design materials and tools
- Train lab support personnel in the use of specialized design tools, adherence to safety protocols, and proper execution of design processes
- Stay updated on new design technologies and recommend upgrades or new acquisitions for the Design Lab
- Ensure the maintenance and calibration of design equipment, as well as the proper management of lab supplies
- Oversee inventory management, track supplies, and place orders for necessary materials
Ihr Profil
- Relevant academic education, ideally a PhD degree or comparable practical experience for example in Industrial Design
- Experience working with design technologies and methods, as well as hands-on experience with design tools and software
- Good at supporting students and assisting in creative processes
- Technical understanding and the ability to train individuals in the use of specialized design tools
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures, including relevant certifications if applicable
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
