Job Overview
The Deputy Title IX Coordinator and Civil Rights Investigator completes their day-to-day responsibilities, with a particular emphasis on providing support following reports of sexual assault, sexual harassment, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking involving students and employees at the University. Depending upon the volume of sexual misconduct reporting, including Title IX investigations, they complete assigned investigations and reviews of civil rights discrimination and harassment complaints, and conduct climate assessments within the University. Civil rights issues include but are not limited to allegations of discrimination and harassment based on sex, gender, and gender identity (Title IX), as well as race, national origin, disability, religion, and other protected categories covered by the District of Columbia Human Rights Act. They also conduct proactive workshops and trainings.

Reporting to the University’s Title IX Coordinator and Director of Title IX Compliance, as well as the Associate Vice President for Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action, and Compliance, the Deputy Title IX Coordinator and Civil Rights Investigator works closely with multiple University offices and divisions including Student Affairs, Georgetown University Police Department, Human Resources, and the Office of General Counsel.
