Position overview

The Division of Student Administration and Academic Services (DSAAS) is within the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) Portfolio. DSAAS is responsible for the administrative support of students through the student lifecycle, from when an offer is made, through to the completion of their studies and graduation. Activities of the Division includes admissions, general student enquiries, enrolment, class timetabling, program management, financial transactions, scholarship management, examination management, legislative compliance in relation to students including appeals, grievance, academic misconduct, discipline processes and curriculum management. 

Under the broad direction of the Manager, Office of the Registrar (OTR), the Deputy Manager, will oversee appeals, grievance, academic misconduct and discipline processes, one of the core streams of work in OTR. 

The Deputy Manager has line management for up to 2 staff and provides and ensures delivery of the following academic administration related services: compliance, policy and Rules management; statutory liaison and reporting; University appeals, complaint and integrity (academic misconduct and discipline) management. The Deputy Manager works closely with Central Support Divisions, staff in the ANU Academic Colleges, external Commonwealth bodies and Executive staff.
