Tenure-Track Assistant Professor
The Department of Geography and Environmental Studies at the University of Regina invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin July 1, 2025.
We are seeking candidates with teaching and scholarly expertise in Climate and Environmental Change. Additional expertise in one of the following areas is expected: hydro-climatology, environmental modelling and/or landscape resilience. The preferred candidate will have a Ph.D. in Geography or a related discipline, a record of scholarly activity, effective teaching as well as demonstrated commitment to, and enthusiasm for, teaching. Duties will include teaching at the undergraduate level, conducting research, honours thesis supervision, and participation in service activities at the departmental, faculty, and university levels commensurate with appointed rank.
The Faculty of Arts is home to approximately 100 full-time faculty members in thirteen departments and a range of interdisciplinary programs in social and natural sciences and humanities. The Department of Geography and Environmental Studies offers both Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees. The Department is committed to a balanced program of teaching, scholarly activity, and service to the community and the profession, and supports a variety of methodological and theoretical orientations.
