Department HR Specialist Sr
Job Description
The School of Life Sciences (SOLS) Personnel Office seeks a highly motivated individual for the position of Department Human Resources Specialist Sr. This position will perform work of considerable responsibility in administering human resource functions in a complex academic unit with research and instructional emphasis. The responsibilities are sensitive and confidential in nature requiring considerable independence, judgement, and skill.
We are looking for a seasoned human resource professional who knows how to anticipate service excellence, is a self-starter who naturally takes initiative, has strong communication skills, is organized, and maintains effective time management. This position works both independently with general direction and as part of a larger team delivering an extensive scope of support and assistance within the school.
We are a service-based department that has heavy emphasis on providing outstanding customer service. We work in fast paced, diverse, and collaborative environment subject to quickly changing priorities. The SOLS Personnel Office team works cohesively with our entire unit staff and award-winning faculty to further our mission of inspiring and transforming our life science students by providing an innovative learning experience. Essential Duties
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND five (5) years of related administrative experience, OR, Nine (9) years of related administrative experience, OR, Any equivalent combination of experience, and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
